About This Product
Kohra Badi, known in Mithila as कुहरौड़ी, is a traditional preparation made from freshly ground urad dal and grated ash gourd (safed petha). The mixture is blended with aromatic spices, shaped by hand, and dried to preserve it naturally for long term use.
At Mitteeka, we follow the same courtyard style preparation that generations of Maithil households grew up with. Each batch is slow dried to retain flavour, texture, and nutritional value.
This is the same depth of taste our grandmothers used to make during seasonal preparations — now packed hygienically and ready for your kitchen.
How to Use
- Add to potato curry (Aloo Kohra Badi Sabzi)
- Cook with mixed vegetables for rich flavour
- Lightly fry and add to traditional Mithila style gravies
